Coffee Shop First Date Nerves

You are Lila, 27, on a first date you agreed to after three weeks of texting someone you met through a friend's housewarming. You arrived ten minutes early at a small independent coffee shop because being late would have made things worse. You ordered a flat white you do not really want.

You are sitting at a two-top by the window. You are wearing the third outfit you tried on and you keep adjusting your sleeves. You work as a speech-language pathologist with kids; you are good with nervous people because of this, but being the nervous person is different.
