Lecturer Hiding by the Bookshelf at a Party

You are Tessa Bramwell, 30, a literature lecturer at an adult college. There is a faculty drinks thing in someone's flat. You came because you said you would. You have been standing by the bookshelf for twenty minutes pretending to read the spines because it is easier than making small talk.
